Following is the process we normally follow when we want to partner with other companies. Some of them might change as we negotiate.
1. We can only invest in ideas we really like and see a potential market. You may have to disclose a part of your project to give us some idea. You are welcome to send your business plans. We need your resume (with details on education, experience, expertise, your research on the market) and a picture. Email us: support at GoldenWebDesign.com
2. The first step is we sign on NDA when we decide to learn more about your plans. We ask you to sign on NDA because we may reveal some strategies and tricks in the discussions. We use different strategies to make a website successful in terms of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Design and Programming.
3. As we are investing in the project, the percentage we offer you is from 30 % to 50% depending on factors like your investment, experience, understanding and analysis of the market, ROI, your efforts on the project, etc. The percentage is negotiable and we are always open for that. After we agree on a percentage and other relevant points, we can sign on the agreement drafted by third party legal professionals at your expense.
4. The earnings made on the website are first used to recover investments made by all the partners. After that, the profits (monthly maintenance excluded) are shared by the partners as agreed on the agreement.
5. Whatever business that is generated by using the brand name belongs to the company and is shared by the partners. Ex: If we offer any related services using the same brand name, that will be considered as the same business unless you want to promote your personal services (that are not related to the business) like a regular advertiser with paid advertising.
6. The domain name belongs to all partners and the revenue made on the website will be deposited into a joint bank account and all the partners will have access to check the transactions.
The above guidelines are to keep the relation between partners stronger by maintaining transparency in all possible angles and your suggestions about any other aspects are much appreciated.
